Roger McBride, born March 9, 1955 to Albert McBride and Dorothy Carlson, was born in Nacogdoches, TX and attended Central Heights ISD. There he met Cindy Wingate McBride, his wife of 45 years. He owned and operated McBride Logging for almost 20 years and then moved on to opening R & M Towing & Recovery in 2001 to present. He was the definition of a hard-working man and had the biggest, most giving heart. It is safe to say he never met a stranger. He loved to talk, tell stories and joke around. He had a love for dirt track racing and had been known to build race car motors. His hobbies consisted of working and collecting stuff – antiques, Texaco banks, clocks, tools, cars, pocketknives, guns and the list goes on and on. He adored his grandkids – they were the light of his life. Later in life he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and would rise to the opportunity to share the Gospel when given. Roger is a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Cindy Wingate McBride of Henderson, TX; daughters Kelly Horn and husband Jason of Henderson, TX, and Miranda Hoffman and husband John of Nacogdoches, TX; son Kevin Hartman and wife Tanya of Henderson, TX; nephew Michael McBride and wife Kellie of Nacogdoches, TX; grandchildren Blake & Ginger Horn of Henderson, Connor, Fischer and Dani Lynn Hoffman of Nacogdoches, Nathan Hartman of Henderson, Gabrielle Wallace, Jerimiah, Michael and Sarah Bedgood of Henderson, Tristian McBride of Nebraska; stepmother Louise McBride of Cushing; Sisters Cathy Hammond and husband PeeWee of Nacogdoches, Susie Owens and husband Joe of Cushing and Barbara Vicars; brothers Albert McBride and wife Shelly, Robert McBride and wife Kim of Cushing, Chuck McBride of Nacogdoches and Gordan Carlson and wife Grace.
