Funeral services for Mrs. Kay Propes, 68, of Overton, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at Bar None Cowboy Church with Jason Taylor officiating. Interment followed at Memory Park Cemetery in Longview under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Propes passed from this life on Nov. 2, 2018, at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. She was born Oct. 29, 1950, in Longview, to Pete and Martha (Taylor) Strong. Kay was a member of Bar None Cowboy Church and has worked for the Rusk County Tax Assessor for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Strong; and sister, Sharon Jane Strong.
Survivors include: husband, Charles Propes of Overton; mother, Martha Jane Strong of Chalk Hill; sons, Craig Hubbard and wife Lisa of Austin, and Clint Reynolds of West Monroe, La.; brother, Larry Wayne Strong of Longview; and grandchildren, Heather Nicole Contreras and Harleigh Jane Reynolds.
Pallbearers were John Contreras, Kenny Turlington, Harvey Cox, Thomas Hodges, Jay Horton, and J.W. Pike.
