Jerry Turner was born July 5, 1947. He was a simple, hardworking man who drove belly dump trucks for many years.  He was affectionately known by his CB handle, “Bootlegger”.  Jerry made his final stop at the weigh station gate of Heaven on October 30, 2021. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Faustine Turner; daughter, Jana Lynn Nickason; brothers Joe Fred Turner and Johnny Earl Turner; and sister Kay Nelwyn Birdwell

Jerry is survived by his wife, Sandy Lee Turner; sister, Janice Jimerson, son, Keith Turner, stepdaughter Erin Lanier, grandchildren, Cory Burns, Jeri Lyn Nickason, Brandon Nickason, Drew Nickason, Rylie Lanier, and Cameron Freeman, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Henderson Metro Church, Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Bruce Wike officiating and Mr. Lee Lewis giving the eulogy.
