Gloria Mae Rousseau, 71, of Overton, Texas, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. She was born on November 30, 1949 to John and Mary Minor in Henderson, Texas.
Gloria was a nurturing person and loved by many. She will be remembered for her bubbly personality and her laughter that was contagious. She will be deeply missed. She lived a Godly life and was eager to pray for anyone who needed prayer. She was a selfless woman who would do anything for her family and friends. She was very proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Her happiest days were spent with family.
Gloria recently retired as a nurse from Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Texas. She loved her patients and coworkers. She was lovingly referred to as “Mama Glo” by her coworkers.
She is preceded in death by her son, Joshua, her brother Danny Minor, and her parents John and Mary Minor.
She is survived by her husband, John Rousseau and her son and daughter-in-law; Johnny and Misti Rousseau and granddaughter Holden and grandson Johnny Rousseau and his mother Mary Buffington. She is survived by her sisters and brother-in-laws; Linda Alford and the late Jim Alford of Pasadena, Texas and Reba and Jesse Taylor of Baytown, Texas. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson, Texas on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. and the services followed at 11 a.m. with Rev. Charles Barham officiating, under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.
