There is an old fable about a frog and a pot of boiling water. The story goes like this. If you were to place a frog in a pot of boiling water he will immediately jump out of the pot. However, if you were to put that same frog in tepid water and gradually heat the water to a boil the frog would not notice and eventually loose his life.

Are Americans in a pot of tepid water and in danger of loosing their freedoms?

Since the coronavirus it seems as if many Americans are losing their liberties and even borders on them losing their constitutional rights. Federal, state and local governments now control our every move telling us how to live our lives, what we can and can’t do. Of course all of this is supposed to be in our best interest.

In January 2020 if someone were to tell you that we would loose our freedoms we would have told them, “you’re crazy man, this is America, home of the free.

It appears that things may get worse if a bill that was introduced on May 1, 2020 is passed.  Democratic Representative Bobby Rush from Illinois introduced a bill called H.R. 6666. The Act is better known as the COVID-19 Testing, Reaching, And Contacting, Everyone or the TRACE Act.

The bill will authorize the Secretary of Health and Human Services to award grants to eligible entities to conduct diagnostic testing for COVID-19, and related activities such as contact tracing, through mobile health units and as necessary, at individuals’ residences, and for other purposes according to

Basically the bill gives the government the power to come into your home and demand that you take the coronavirus test and if you refuse they can quarantine you and your family in your home.

The Washington Times calls this bill a government surveillance plot and references it to the Mark of the Beast talked about in the Bible.

Cheryl K. Chumley of The Washington Times said, “After all, what’s more devilishly un-American than launching one of the most massive government surveillance programs of private citizens in U.S. history, all under the guise of protecting people from the coronavirus?”

It is a fact that we as Americans are and have been under surveillance by the Federal government. Government surveillance is all over the national news as big brother watches those they consider a threat to their agenda. What better way to continue this on a local level than with the bill TRACE.

Chumley goes on to say, “HR 6666 violates inalienable rights to one’s person, home and property, to one’s life, freedoms, privacy and security.” states “It is a violation of the Fourth Amendment, as well as the First, Fifth, Eighth and Ninth amendments … It is an illegal act of forced medical treatment upon We the People and an invasion into our local communities … [it] grants the [feds] broad authority as to empower any ‘entity’ … to hunt down people with no reasonable suspicion of threat to public health … HR 6666 is unconstitutional, unacceptable and unlawful.”

If you believe that TRACE is good then do nothing but if you want to continue living in a free America then contact your U.S. Representative (Louie Ghomert) and tell him to vote NO on H.R. 6666.
