In the latest update on the spread of COVID-19 within Rusk County, the Office of Emergency Management has reported no new positive cases for more than a week. One patient has completed all treatment and is considered recovered bringing that number up to 23 and taking the active total down to 17. 

The total number of positive cases remains at 41. 

Mt. Enterprise hosted the latest mobile testing site on Monday, May 11. No reports have been returned as DSHS has released no information regarding those tested, as of press time. 

Total confirmed cases within the state are at 43,851, with a testing total of 623,284. COVID-19 related deaths in Texas stand at 1,216, with only one out of Rusk County, while the number of patients who have completed all treatment and quarantine protocols and are considered recovered stands at 24,487, a dramatic increase from last week’s 21,713.
