While so many other highly anticipated events have been canceled due to COVID-19, the City of Henderson proudly announced that the annual Christmas parade will be making its rounds at 6 p.m., December 3, with the theme of “Magic of Christmas”.

In the spirit of the season, the city has extended the date to turn in entry forms from November 16 to November 19 to allow more magic to enter the parade. To find those entry forms visit the city of Henderson’s website at

“We’re excited to be able to provide the parade as usual, with COVID guidelines in place, and expect a great turnout like we had for the downtown open house!” said the City of Henderson Communications and Marketing Coordinator, Letti Goodrich.

As with any other large-scale event happening in the time of the pandemic, there will be additional requirements based on government mandates and recommendations. Face coverings will be required for participation, and social distancing is expected whenever possible.

For those on floats or transporting floats, please be aware of the spacing on and around your unit and remember that you are accountable for health and safety measures in relation to your float and participants.
