The Commissioners Court agreed during their regular meeting Monday to enter into two Inter-local agreements. The first agreement was with Henderson Independent School District (HISD) and the other with the City of Tatum.
The agreement with HISD is to help with part of the demolition of Central Elementary School.
Precinct 2 Commissioner Robert Kuykendall told the Commissioners, “This is just for the use of an employee only and they will be fairly compensated. They (HISD) will provide the equipment and we will benefit from the brick and other materials.”
The other agreement was with the City of Tatum to perform repairs to Jefferson Street. The County will receive a reimbursement check for $150 for materials and fuel from the City.
The Commissioners also approved a Corporate Contract with Pro Fitness Health Club here in Henderson that will allow all employees of the County the opportunity to use the facility if they desire to join.
The membership fee is paid for by the employee and not the County and will be paid through payroll deduction through the Treasurer’s office.
Eastex Telephone Coop asked that the County grant them permission to install fiber optic cable along and in some cases under four different County roads in Precinct 3.
On CR 314 the request was under/across the right-of-way. On CR 378 the request was under/across the right-of-way. On CR 379 the request was along/within right-of-way as was the request for CR 382.
Other agenda items approved was David Burks’ annual 2020 ESD report. The Racial Profiling Report from precinct 5 Constable Richard J. Hacker III was approved. Also approved was the 2021 Rusk County Indigent Health report.
