Henderson Woman’s Forum hosted a delightful lunch event on Thursday, Nov. 14. The din of pleasant lunch conversation and reactions to the pleasing smells of the Thanksgiving-themed menu were telltale signs that all involved enjoyed themselves.
The event was catered by SnowFlake Bakery & Deli, who presented guests with traditional holiday fare of turkey, dressing, green beans, and sweet potato casserole.
After appetites were satiated and plates were cleared, guest speaker Dr. Elliot Engel, took to the podium. He delivered a riveting lecture on the life of Winston Churchill. Loaded with hilarious anecdotes and daunting realities from the life of the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the presentation was sure to have sparked more than a passing interest in the minds of all those present.
Following Dr. Engel, Henderson Women’s Club received a prize for having 88% of their club present.
It was also noted that HWF would not meet again throughout the remainder of this year. The next meeting is scheduled for the second Thursday in February.
