Community Development Director Billy Hughes confirmed Wednesday that Centerpoint Energy had started clearing land for a new facility here in Henderson.

“They are clearing land now on Loop 571 and the exit at Highway 64,” said Hughes.

It has been reported that Centerpoint Energy plans to invest $2,267,754.00 to build out 16,000 square feet of new space in Henderson. The company plans to occupy the new space on or about September 1, 2022. 

According to the company website CenterPoint Energy’s primary businesses include: electric transmission and distribution, natural gas distribution, and natural gas sales and services.
